What we collect and why

When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message, plus your company and phone number if you choose to give them. We use these solely to respond to your enquiry and follow up on it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

When you download our one-page overview, we collect your email address. We use it to send occasional updates about VEM. Our lawful basis is your consent, and every message we send includes a way to unsubscribe.

We do not buy, sell or trade personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Where your data lives

This website is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Enquiries are delivered to our business email. We use trusted service providers to operate the site and deliver email; they process data only on our instructions.

Analytics

We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics that collect aggregate statistics (pages viewed, referring site, country, device type). This data cannot be used to identify you, and no personal data is collected or stored for analytics.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any business relationship that follows, then deleted. Mailing list emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict our processing of it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email cliff.bradshaw@vemsystems.ai. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
